On August 19th, 2022, we lost our beautiful daughter Shaunda to covid pneumonia, leaving behind her Mom and Dad, Barb and Ray Scaife, brothers Shane Scaife and Raymond Cowell (Melanie) and sister Brandi Pavel. Also grieving her loss are her nephew Jordan Pavel, and nieces Casey Jo Pavel, Sidney Pavel, McKenna Pavel and Cadence Cowell and grand niece Koiya Fatima.
From the time she was very little, Shaunda was always a bright, exciting, friendly girl. All strangers were just friends she hadn’t met yet. She was always caring, loving and helping people. This was always her character, even through the dark days of her life. Last February she came back to her childhood faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. Her friends testified that her loving and caring took a giant leap.
She was involved in helping people in her community and church right up to the end. Many stories have been told of her generosity even at times at the end of her own resources. She was especially drawn to those with disabilities. She is greatly missed in the community of Qualicum Beach BC.

Shaunda was a great, kind hearted person. She would send cards to my kids and was always trying to better herself. She will be missed.
