Ross Burnette Beaton

August 6, 1951 – January 1, 2024

Suddenly, on January 1 at his residence, Ross passed away leaving his family deeply saddened and heart broken.

Left to mourn are his loving wife Linda; favourite son Michael, favourite daughter Laura, brother Allen (Bev); sisters Mary-Jo (BFF) and Debbie (Graham); many favourite nieces and nephews as well as sisters-in-law, brothers-in law; special friends Wanda Kellerman, Brielle Ewbank, Bob Kuz and Wayne Poznik; his furry pets Beanie and Spooky: and many friends.

Ross was pre-deceased by his parents Clarence and Mary; his Uncle Ross and Aunt Gwen; sisters Joan, Jean, Jackie and Judy; brother Darrell; cherished nephews Kevin Mathers, Michael Stasiuk, and Daniel Young; beloved mother-in-law Rachel Fawcett, and brother-in-law Tom Bosko.

Ross was active in the Manitoba basketball community for most of his life through playing, coaching and finally refereeing until COVID hit. He loved the sport and made many lasting friendships throughout the years.

Ross was an RPN for over 35 years, and had a knack for quickly establishing a trusting, therapeutic rapport with those he served.

Ross loved all music and was especially fond of classic rock. He could tell you the history of the rock bands, their songs and the many band member changes that occurred.

He was a loving husband, and adored father who is dearly loved and deeply missed.

The family would like to thank the paramedics and RCMP for their efforts and the kindness shown to us at a tragic time.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, please pay it forward with an act of kindness or a donation to your favourite charity.

Voyage Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

My music 🎶 man, I will always cherish the CD’s he made for me with my favourite artists along with the conversations about the history of the band & the artist . Ross’s usual goodbye when leaving , in his sarcastic loving manner… “I’ll sure miss ya” and yes Ross I’ll miss you. Rest In Peace my friend ❤️
