February 11, 1997 – April 12,2019

With great sadness, we announce the unexpected death of Rolston on Friday, April 12, at the age of 22.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Keri-Lisa Hartig and Ken Henry; sister Felisha Hartig; grandparents Keith and Margaret Hartig and Yvonne Harry and Jean & Elderfield Henry; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his aunt Kim in November 2018 who had always been there for him.

Rolston was born on February 11, 1997, and was always loved by all especially his big sister Felisha. He attended various elementary schools and it was a special day when he graduated from grade 8 at Bernie Wolfe. He loved spending time with his grandparents at their house, camping at various campgrounds and at the Elkhorn Resort where he enjoyed many activities like swimming, the game room, tobogganing and horseback riding. A highlight was a spa day with his mom and sister. He enjoyed a trip to Florida and the many rides when he was 5, but as he was too short for many rides he always hoped to go back when he was taller.

Rolston loved Food. Some of his favorites were salt fish and ackee, red snapper and Gimli pickerel. He also loved Chinese food. So as the old saying goes “a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” It definitely was the way to make Rolston a happy young man. Whether it was his mom, dad or grandma cooking. Rolston loved to skateboard and enjoyed many hours of this with his cousin Tayden. He loved photography and hoped to pursue this as a career. He took many selfies and loved scenery especially sunsets. He also loved music either listening to iTunes or writing his own music and making recordings with Tayden. He enjoyed playing video games with uncle Nate. He wasn’t a “pool shark” but enjoyed playing pool with his grandpa and if he managed to beat him it made his day. He loved family and spent time with them whenever he could. His cousins Hayden and Oliver lived in Teulon, but he enjoyed going out to watch them play soccer or perform at their dance recitals. He was a very kind young man who didn’t judge others but accepted people as they were, which unfortunately got him into trouble at times. He was always ready to apologize if he had offended someone. Always had a hug and “love you” for family. We will miss him greatly!!! But God in His wisdom knew that you were battling many things so he took you home to heaven where you can enjoy the peace you so desperately wanted.

We would like to thank the staff of PACT and New Directions for their help and support of Rolston, whether it was finding him an apartment, or just spending time and listening to him.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, April 25, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Brian Kauste from the Meeting Place will be officiating.
