Photini Danilis

Photini Danilis

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Photini Danilis.

Born in Lehena, Greece on August 15, 1935, Photini immigrated with her husband and infant daughter to Winnipeg in 1968.

Photini is survived by her daughter Chryssoula (Thomas); her sons Dionysios, Trifona (Lydia) and Xaralambos; her grandchildren Athena, Yasemee and Tatyanna (Chryssoula), Christoforo, Rowan and Tatyanna (Xaralambos) and Brendon and Dimitrios (Trifona) and great-grandchildren Ariel, Gideon, Zion, Eden and Theodoros (Yasemee).

Photini loved and cared for her family deeply. Her only thoughts were to take care of her children and to try and provide for their happiness. Her highest hope was to have her children live their best lives.

We will cherish her memory and hold her dearly in our hearts.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Ave, Winnipeg, MB. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.

  1. Such a beautiful woman with an amazing spirit for life and family. I had the pleasure of meeting her while I was stationed with Chrysoula in Germany. She will be greatly missed.
