Patricia O’Reilly (Nee Collom)

Patricia OReilly Nee Collom

February 18th 1935 – March 21 2024

It is with great sadness that after a short illness we announce the passing of our beautiful mom, nanny, (nanner) and great nanny Patricia O’Reilly who left us peacefully while surrounded by love on March 21st 2024.

Patricia or as she preferred to be called Pat will be lovingly remembered by her three surviving children Bill, Kim (Kevy) and Karen (Maxine). Grandchildren; Cory (Amber), Matthew (Nicole), Nick (Lindsey), Dustin, Austin (Mercedes), Aiko, Hailey. Great Grandchildren; Taylor, Sadie, Brody, Maddex, Nixon, Paisley, Dj, Chloe, Owen and Skylar. Sister in-law and best friend Barb O’Reilly and a number of nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her daughters Tracy and Kelly, as well as her brother Jim.

Not your typical 89 year old blue haired nanny. Pat was a spit fire who loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She touched many hearts and was known as Nan by most who knew her, in typical Nan fashion she always had advice to offer or a story to tell. She helped to shape the lives of her grandchildren and loved them endlessly.

In her younger years Pat worked a variety of different jobs and gave her all to each one. She was always there to offer a helping hand, ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. In her later years when not traveling with Barb, Brian and Betty, Pat was an avid reader who also loved to knit and needlepoint. Her family will remember her (and our) favorite dishes as roast pork, stuffing, butterscotch pie and chinese macaroni (her own creation).

Our family would like to thank the entire third floor staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and compassion while Patrica was in their care.

While she may no longer physically be with us, her presence and love will forever be felt. We will love you always.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
