It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of Maria Kritikos, on January 13, 2022, at the Grace Hospital.
Maria, who lived to the age of 90, was a gentle soul and will always be remembered as being extraordinarily kind, generous and stoic. She modeled her quiet resiliency when she was predeceased by her loving husband Athanasios and later by her treasured daughter, Angela (Koula) Louizos.
Left to celebrate her life are her two adoring grandchildren, Anita and Demos Louizos; her son-in-law Socrates (Marianthi); her extended family, and her fellow parishioners.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service with Reverend Father Nikolaos Tambakis presiding has already taken place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Maria has been laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens beside her loving daughter. May her memory be eternal.
