It is with profoundly saddened heavy heart’s, that we announce the passing of our Beautiful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Maria Dreilich (Boucher). Peacefully, with her ever loving family never leaving her side, on March 14, 2024.
Born on January 29, 1934, to George and Alice Boucher (predeceased).
Maria had eight siblings, Rose (predeceased) Annette (predeceased) Albert, Roland, Ernest, Therese, Lorette and Wilna. Along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mom came from a big family, she also had a big family.
Her children Louie (Cheryl predeceased) Wayne(predeceased) ( Judi ) Charlotte ( Ed predeceased) Dale, Gordon(predeceased), Charlene ( Bruce ) Beverly ( Luis ) and David, adored their Mother.
She had 16 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren.
Maria had a very busy family orientated life, with having such a big family.
Mom loved all the visits and phone calls from family and friends, often her answering machine would come on or it was busy.
With her kids if we couldn’t get in touch with Mom by phone, we would often send a family chat message asking “who has Mom”?
Moms biggest love was cheering and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren whether it was just a half hour phone call or watching them playing hockey, baseball, curling, soccer, gymnastics, swimming or their school events, she also attended bag pipping and drumming events. She was very proud in supporting her grand/great grand children, her calendar always seemed to be filled.
Our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother was a very loving, kind, caring, person with the purest heart of gold.
She touched so many individuals hearts, she accepted everyone for who they were, her kindness, her big beautiful smile and her soft demeanour will be cherished. She was adored and loved by many.
Mom,
You left us without telling us you had to go, you left us without telling us how we live without you.
In our hearts we know your journey in Heaven is where you need to be.
We will be watching for you Mom, you will be the one with the brightest white wings and the beautiful halo.
Forever and ever we love you Mom.
There are so very many memories, visits, events that people have had with our Mom, please share them with us if you like, we would love to hear them.
In keeping with Moms wishes, a private family service and burial will be held at a later date.
We would like to thank the Dr’s, Nurses and Staff at the HSC for taking excellent care of our Mother.

I love you mom. I miss you so much and think of you everyday. I am glad I was able to speak with you one last time. I will watch for you everyday for the rest of my life.

She was one of a kind, she had a big family but made you feel like part of it. One of the sweetest people I will ever know. She was definitely like a second mom to me growing up. You will be missed by all but have touched so many hearts and left such a profound impact on so many lives. Sending so much love.

Mom always mention when she talked with you or your family. One of the last pictures she saw of you and David she said “they could pass as brothers!”! She definitely thought kindly of you and your family.
