It is with deep and utter sorrow I announce the peaceful but sudden passing of my dear Aunty Louise. She passed on her own terms in her home at the age of 90 years young.

Aunty was born in St. Eustache, MB, and lived there until she married Uncle Joe in September 1951. She was an 18-year-old newlywed and moved off to life on the farm in Fisher Branch MB. They lived on their much-loved farm tending the cows, chickens, and other farm animals, all of which had names for many years. Aunty was a strong, hard-working woman. Her days were spent cooking for the farm hands, milking and herding cows, gardening, canning in the summer kitchen riding her horses, and making her little home beautiful for her and Uncle Joe.

Sadly Uncle Joe was diagnosed with leukemia in the early seventies and they had to sell the farm and move into Fisher Branch town where he spent his remaining years. He passed away in 1976. Aunty remained in Fisher Branch for the next couple of years then moved to Winnipeg to begin a new life. She enrolled in classes at Red River College and bravely moved forward, never remarrying. She worked for many years at the well-known “Gunn’s Bakery” and then later as Secretary/Receptionist for Dr. Broder and remained there until her retirement.

Over the years Aunty enjoyed many volunteer positions. She spent a lot of hours at the church and was a member of the Catholic Women’s League both in Winnipeg and Fisher Branch. She was part of the color party, proudly carrying our country’s flag at the ceremony for the Royal Canadian No1 Legion. She was a well-educated pianist, loved painting, embroidery, camping in her red truck and cooking. She was forever cooking from scratch and would share her bounty with many family members. Those who tasted her mastery skills thoroughly enjoyed her treats.

Aunty was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Mary-Jane Allary, her husband Joseph, siblings Adam, Doreen and Rose in childhood as well as brother Edward and his wife Judy, brother Roland and his wife Edna, brother Larry and his wife Doreen, brothers Patrick and Norman Alary as well as sisters Terry Peto and Doris Seavers, Doris’s first husband Morris Nolan. her second Albert Seavers as well as beloved nephew Beau Jais Allary.

She leaves to mourn her passing brother Alex Allary and his wife Doreen of Calgary Alberta, sister Loraine and her husband Leo Paul, brother-in-law Ellice Peto, sister-in-law Fran Allary, niece Renee and husband Denis Gusta her godchildren, Jesse, Sara and Alex Gusta as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will take place at St. Pius X church at 480 McKenzie on Wednesday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. There will be a short viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Interment will be at Glen Eden Memorial at 4477 Main St. West St. Paul with a light lunch to follow across the street at the home of Denis and Renee. All are welcome.

She was a sweet and gentle lady who helped so many in her lifetime. Never asking for anything in return.

“A lady always knows when to leave” I was just not ready to let you go. See you when I get there Aunty. I miss you already and will love you always.
