Leon passed away peacefully with family at his side at the Morris Hospital.
Leon is survived by his wife Shirley; children Debra (Peter), Kathryn, Leonard, Karen (Sheldon), and Wayne (Karen); sisters Carolyn and Marlene (Lawrence); sisters-in-law Geraldine (Peter) and Marlene and his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was born on a farm in Theodore, SK. The family moved to The Pas approximately in 1937 where he went to school.
Leon worked various jobs. In 1968 Leon and Shirley took over his dad’s forestry contract, retiring from forestry in 1988.
He is predeceased by his parents Stanley and Rosalin; stepfather Alex; daughter Patricia; brother-in-law Bob and his nephews Kelly and Jason.
