It is with a heavy heart the family announces the passing of Leanne Penelope Marie Nickel-Gorchynski, age 50 years, of Winnipeg, Manitoba on Wednesday December 6, 2023, at the St. Boniface General Hospital with her devoted husband by her side.

Leanne’s presence will be missed by her husband, Marty, and their daughter, Gabi, both of Winnipeg, Manitoba, her Father, Vern Nickel of Brandon Manitoba, her brother, Curtis Nickel (Wanita), nephews Keegan, Declan and nieces Anika, Everleigh and Carrigan.

Left to mourn her passing with the immediate family are Mother and Father-in-law, Leona and Joe Gorchynski, her Sister-in-law, Michelle, and Rusty Myskiw, their 3 children Katie (Quinton) Schellenberg, Rebecca Myskiw and Hayden Myskiw, Brother-in-law Michael and Sharon Gorchynski, their 2 daughters, Taylor Gorchynski and Tatiana Gorchynski, as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Leanne touched many people in her too short life, but the joy she brought to all is what shall be remembered in the days, weeks, and years to come. Leanne, your memory will be with us always.

Leanne is predeceased by her mother, Veronica Nickel.

A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date to be decided.

The family would like to extend an abundance of gratitude to the nursing staff at St Boniface Hospital for making her final days as comfortable as possible.
