October 10, 1947 – January 16, 2024
Peacefully on January 16, 2024, with his family at his side, Ken passed away following a brief illness.
Ken is lovingly remembered by his wife Dianne, children Karolyn (Dave), Bryan (Tina), and Neil (Lisa) and grandchildren Nicholas, Alexandra, Grace, Kate, Claire, Hunter, Grayson and Georgia. He was predeceased by his sister, Eileen Mishkow.
Ken was born in Winnipeg on October 10, 1947 and grew up in West Kildonan. He married Dianne and they settled in Fort Richmond where they raised a family. He studied at Red River College and completed the Certified Engineering Technologist program. He then built a successful career at Manitoba Telecom Services over 29 years, starting as an engineering associate and later becoming a customer systems specialist, designing systems for major business customers.
Ken enjoyed golf, photography, reading, family activities, working on home renovations, D.I.Y. projects and using technology, even into his later years. He was immensely proud of his family and his greatest joy was spending time with them. Ken was always generous with his time, using his skills and knowledge to help others.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later time.
