February 17, 1955 – June 24, 2019

Kelly passed away peacefully after a short but intense battle with cancer, with family at his side.

Kelly was born in Whitemouth, Manitoba, where he developed a strong work ethic by working on nearby farms from an early age.

When he moved to Winnipeg, that work ethic served him well, and in 1975 he found himself working at Argus Industrial Supply, now known as Argus Industries.  He quickly became a loyal and dedicated employee, often giving up vacation time to help out when asked.  He became a beloved and valued member of the Argus Family.

When he did take time off, he enjoyed camping in Elma, Manitoba, spending many happy days fishing with family, walking our dogs, and trike riding with his brother.  At home, he enjoyed gardening and especially looked forward to that first red tomato of the season.

Kelly was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Cousins in 1993, and his father David Cousins in 2000.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 42 years, Anne; his son Ray and daughter-in-law Cindy; grandchildren Brittani (Kenny Laurie), great-grandson Mathieu; Katherine (Noah Daly), great-grandson Logan; Nikolis and Nikoal.  He is also survived by his brother Dave, sisters Bonnie Mackling (Ross), Karen and his younger brother Jim (Linda), extended family Bea Steele and Ian Bromley, and in-laws Joan (Walker) Kristjansson and Alan Walker, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He will also be missed by the many co-workers and friends he has made over the years.

Many thanks to the staff and doctors at Cancer Care Manitoba, as well as the staff and doctors at Health Science Center who cared for him and supported us this past month.

a memorial service will be held on Monday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 472 Kirkfield Street at Mcbey Ave.

  1. I would like to express my condolences to you. There will come a time when death and mourning will be no more. (Revelation 21:3,4) This is what our loving God, Jehovah, has promised. We also have the hope of seeing our loved ones again. (John 5:28,29) You can build even more beautiful memories together. May those verses bring you some comfort in your time of mourning.

Kelly and I went to school together in Whitemouth. We shared many happy times in the years of our youth. He was a kind and good person. My sincere sympathy to all of his family.
