Kathleen Lilian Elliott Nee Dawson
October 11, 1921 – February 24th, 2024 

Peacefully with family by her side we announce the passing of Kathleen Elliott on February 24th, 2024, at the age of 102.

Kathleen (Kitty) was born in London, England on October 11,1921. She moved to West Wickham Kent where her parents owned a hair salon. She later pursued a career in hairdressing. As a schoolgirl, she won several medals for swimming. During World War II she met a Canadian soldier Henry Elliott, they married August 10th, 1941, and had three children. In 1946 as a war bride, she sailed with the children on the Aquitania, arrived in Halifax, and settled in Winnipeg. She then worked at Booth Fisheries as a bookkeeper for 20 years.
She enjoyed gardening, craft work, baking, and knitting for St. Saviours Anglican church. She loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Lynda Lillies (Glenn); daughter-in-law Wendy Elliott; grandchildren Barbara Mackenzie (Richard), Chris Lillies (Debbie), Anthony Elliott (Jackie), Stephen Kletke (Kathleen), Heather Mills (Grant), and Richard Kletke (John); along with loving great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Henry, son Phillip Elliott, and daughter Maureen Dawson.

We would like to thank the B2 staff at Middle Church Home for the wonderful care over the past five years.

As per Kathleen’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service with immediate family held at Christ Church Anglican in Stony Mountain, MB.
