It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jerry Popowniak on Monday, January 8, 2024, at the age of 66.

Jerry is survived by his wife Maria his four children, Crystal (Rob), Jason (Helen), Adam (Mariah), Priscilla (David), grandchildren, Nikki (Ryan), Justice, Nyah, Angelina, Adam. Jerry was born on July 1, 1957 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was a jack of all trades but really enjoyed auto body work, flipping houses and gardening. Most would know him as Dr. Green thumb. He was most passionate about family get togethers and feeling free riding his Harley and pounding the tunes!

Jerry was a calm, loyal, big hearted soul, he loved to joke around and would give the shirt of his back for anyone.

A Memorial Service will be held on January 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, located at 220 Hespeler Avenue, at Henderson Hwy.

Reception to follow.

We all love and miss you tons,
Keep on puffin!
Until we meet again.

  2. Uncle Jerry was always there for me whenever i was lucky enough to get to see him. He always checked in on me and asked how i was doing, and would always give me the best advice.

I remember the last time i saw uncle Jerry, he went to see my grandma Sandy at the same time i was visiting her. He asked me how i was doing, and i told him not that well and why…and i remember exactly what he said to me…. he told me to tell him that if anybody treated me badly again to call him and he would set them straight…

He was so kind and caring, and always offered to stand up for me, and listen…i really wish i had the chance to spend more time you Uncle Jerry, and im going to miss you so much. Say hi to Uncle Tom, and Baba for me i hope that wherever you are, i hope that your surrounded by family and happy.

  9. Dad, since the day you left so many things keep running through my head. You were an amazing person with such an amazing personality, you always helped absolutely everyone. Us kids never had to worry you would always make the troubles go away. Everything made sense when you would say it. Your legacy will live on, we will continue all your teachings.
