On August 4, 2022, Hiroshi Shimizu passed away at age 83.
Hiroshi was born in Vancouver on January 29, 1939 to Ichiro and Koto (Watanabe) Shimizu. He married Kazuko “Kay” Tsutsumi on September 4, 1971 and they welcomed their son David in 1972.
After receiving a metallurgical engineering degree from UBC, Hiroshi worked at the Manitoba Rolling Mills in Selkirk for 39 years. He and Kay were active volunteers in the Japanese community.
Hiroshi is survived by his son David and his sister Reiko. He was predeceased by his wife and parents.

Family and close friends will gather in his memory on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy.
