Don Nykoluk

Don Nykoluk
June 3, 1954 – Nov 23, 2022

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Don on Nov 23, 2022 at the Grace Hospital. He was 68 years old at the time of his passing.

Left to forever cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years, Mona; his daughter Kristy, and son-in-law Hebert. He will be missed by grandchildren “his girl” Maya and Alex. He will also be missed by his daughter Tracy (Madison and Zoey) and Son Chad (Zachary, Hailey and Ethan).

Don was predeceased by his father Peter Nykoluk; mother Mary Nykoluk and beloved younger sister Darlene Anderson. He is survived by his brother Wayne, two sisters Debbie and Diane and many nieces and nephews.

Don worked at Gardewine for most of his life until his retirement. He was cherished for keeping everything orderly and being a planner. He always had an idea of what we would do and when.

Don had a good sense of humour and loved to come up with a silly nickname for the people he enjoyed the most.
Through the last years of his life, Don was a huge sports enthusiast. He loved the Bombers, the Jets and his Manitoba curling teams.

Anyone who knew Don knew how much he loved summer time on his deck with a cold drink and his own special playlist. He loved music and listened to a range from the 50’s to today’s pop and you knew he was outside when music was coming out of the backyard. That was his happy place and that is where he will live on in our memories.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Manitoba lung association. (https://mb.lung.ca/ways-to-help/donate_today.html)
