April 6, 1941 – September 21, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother.
She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Cheryl (Tom), Jamie (Mark) and Rodney (Kathy) as well as her grandson Conner (Shenelle). She also leaves to mourn three brothers, Terry (Mary), Rick (Lucy) and Ron, as well as her nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Herman, parents Walter and Vivian Abrey and nephew Joey.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Grace Hospital Emergency, ICU and 3rd floor Medicine Unit for the compassionate care of Mom.
A private gathering will be held at a later date.

So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Mrs. Henkel was a beautiful lady full of love and grace. She was so kind and will be missed by many we are sure. May she rest in peace now that she is with her husband. My Mother and I think of them both very fondly. Yesterday, we were talking about how your Dad, used to call my Mom, “Widow Williams” as a joke. Our sympathies go out to all your family.
