February 3, 1962 – August 21, 2021
With heavy hearts and great sadness our family announces the sudden passing of Garth at the age of 59 years.
Garth was predeceased by his mother Emma Mitchell February 12, 2019.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother’s Mainze (Terry) and Murray and sister Vera (George). Children, Tanya and Steven along with grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Garth had lived most of his life in Winnipeg. He did spend a few years in Vancouver but returned to work in Winnipeg. Garth’s passion was being a baker which he took great pride in doing. His career as a baker was cut short due to health issues which made working difficult.
Garth was a huge Winnipeg Blue Bomber fan and was quite happy when they won their first 2 games post pandemic.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation in Garth’s memory.
