Darlene Joyce Arthur
January 5, 1956 – April 9, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darlene Arthur, 66, on April 9, 2022 in her home with family by her side.

Darlene was predeceased by her parents Arnold and Joyce Eaton and her brother Ken Eaton. Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband Robert; her children, Jason, Kelly (Robbie), Leah (Lisa), Sarah (Adam), Wanda (Sheldon), Candice (Sean) and Derek; her ten grandchildren; along with siblings, Doug, Colleen, Richard, Heather and Rosemary.

Darlene attended Glenlawn Collegiate and worked at Nutrisystem, Academy of Learning, Provincial Homecare, Manitoba Food Processors and the University of Manitoba.

Darlene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who looked after everyone. She was a bright light who enjoyed reading, baking, walking, singing, dancing, and was a fierce card player. Darlene was also an animal lover. She made friends wherever she went, including lawn bowling, square dancing and the U of M.

During their 21 years of marriage, Darlene and Bob enjoyed travelling, spending time with family, and regular card nights with friends.

Darlene always had a positive attitude and saw the silver lining in everything. She will be remembered for how her smile would light up a room and her heart-warming hugs. Darlene was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

Her family would like to thank Reverend Canon Bob Webster and Darlene’s nephew Dr. Paul Oxley for their support through her time of need.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
