Cynthia Gail McCaffrey

February 1, 1957 – September 21, 2018,

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend at the Grace Hospital after a short but brave battle with cancer.

Cynthia will be profoundly missed by her husband and best friend Gordon Blott, daughter Myra Fletcher-Black (Scott) and her beloved grandchildren Theo Siegers (Emily), Russell Burling, Brooke Burling, Brayden Fletcher-Black; and her great-grandchildren  Kaylee  &  JD. She will  also be sadly missed by mother Marie McCaffrey, her brothers and sisters Wayne (Suzanne), Marlene (Keith), Thomas (Sheila), Harry (Kimberly), Phillip (Kelly),  Evelyn (Les) as well as many nieces, nephews, and other special children who knew her home to be a safe place to turn when in need, and many friends she held close to her heart. Cynthia was predeceased by her mother Phyllis, father Harold, father Floyd, brother Christopher, sister-in-law Karen, and niece Linda.

Cynthia had great love for her family, nature, and all living creatures.  She was always happiest camping, fishing, and finding adventure in the woods with Gord, her grandchildren and their friends, and of course her babies (dogs).  Please remember Cynthia for the kind, loving, big-hearted woman that she will always be, as she was loved more than words can say.

A small celebration of Cynthia’s life will be scheduled at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal shelter, children’s charity, or cancer charity. Rest easy mom, until we meet again, I love you.
