Constance (Coni) Anania was born on June 8, 1950, in Amato, Italy, and passed away on January 8, 2024, at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Canada.
Coni lost her life after a brief battle with cancer.
Born to Giovanna and Raffaele Anania, who along with her older sister Maria Scerbo (nee Anania), have predeceased her. Coni was extremely devoted to her family and was the primary caregiver to her mother Giovanna until her passing in 2005.
She is survived by her younger sister Carmelina; brother-in-law Mario Scerbo; her nephews Charlie (Linda), Ralph (Justine), Mario (Tannis) and Peter; nieces Tina (Mike) and Olympia; and great-nieces Jenna, Sarah and Rachael.
Coni had an infectious laugh, an unwavering love for tennis, and an unmatched stubbornness that made her who she was. She was loved tremendously and surrounded by her family in her final days. She will forever and always remain in our hearts and be greatly missed.
A service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to the charity of your choice.
