Peacefully, Cliff Bohn passed away at the age of 86, on October 7, 2018. Cliff was born and educated in Emerson, Manitoba. He worked for the railway and after a few years moved to Winnipeg where he married the love of his life, Daphne. After marriage, he applied for a position as a police officer at North Kildonan. In 1960, Cliff began his 30-year career as a police officer, retiring from the City of Winnipeg Police Service in 1990. After retirement, he and Daphne travelled and spent many days at Clear Lake camping with family.
He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years Daphne in 2017, father and mother Adolph and Emma Bohn, sisters Elsie Cherot, Edna Asher, Bertha Bohn, brother Wilford Bohn and great-granddaughter Lily Penman. Cliff is survived by daughter Catherine (Tony), son Barry (Jeanne), grandchildren Adam (Amanda), Steven, Brenna (Adrian), Jennifer (Matthew), Stephanie (Grant), great-grandchildren Olivia, Chiara, William, Thomas, John, Aiden and Benjamin, sister, Helen Sarrasin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy, Winnipeg, MB. Interment will be held at a later date.
Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends and family so desire, donations in memory of Cliff may be made to Alzheimer Society Manitoba or a charity of choice.
