Carolyn Carcar Angella Penniston

August 13, 1960 – May 15, 2024

Carolyn “Carcar” Angella Penniston was born August 13, 1960 in Westmoreland, Jamaica. She passed away on May 15, 2024 due to a sudden decline in her health. Carolyn was 63 years young.

Carolyn was a strong, generous and peaceful soul, and will be missed by the many lives that she has entered and touched. Even though it feels that she was taken too soon, let us all find peace in knowing she is home with the Lord our savior.

Carolyn is survived by her 3 children Natasha, Hugh and Kiana, her grandchildren Uriah, Aakirah, Titus, Lexton and Lawrence, her siblings Jackie and Peter, and her sister in Christ Judith. Carolyn was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister. There is a permanent hole in our hearts where she used to be.

Though Carolyn was retired at the time, she had a long fulfilling career with the Misericordia Health Centre. Outside of her career Carolyn was known for her talents in wedding planning, interior decorating and her culinary skills. There wasn’t a space or landscape that she couldn’t enrich and beautify or a meal she couldn’t master. Through her church and charity work, Carolyn played an active role in NACF’s Ghana Mission, donating clothing, her time and money.

The funeral service will be held on May 25, 2024 at New Anointing Christian Fellowship Church (1425 Manitoba Ave, Winnipeg, MB). The service will begin at 11:00am with the viewing to begin at 10:00am. All who knew Carolyn and those wanting to support the family are welcomed to come.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for a cash donation to be made during her service. This donation will be given to NACF’s Ghana Mission. The Ghana Mission seeks out to teach unemployed women self-sufficient skills, and sends barrels containing various necessities such as clothing, and school supplies to Accra Mental Home every year.

May Carolyn’s love, kindness, and spirit continue to inspire us. She will forever be in our hearts and memories.
