Brian Quinn

Picture of Brian Quinn

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Quinn on December 20, 2018, at the age of 60, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Brian was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Loretta. He will be lovingly remembered by his long-time girlfriend Laura, and her sons Daniel, Myles, Travis and Kyle, and his son Wayne (Tanya), and grandsons Brayden and Colton, and brother Mike (Gabby).

Brian moved to Winnipeg from Cardinal, ON, in the late 70’s. Brian worked in the flooring industry as an installer for over 30 years. Brian has a love for woodworking and had every tool imaginable.  He passed his love for woodworking on to his son, who continues the tradition of detailed woodworking. Brian loved to spend time with his grandsons. He loved to come and watch them at the rink, play his favorite sport of hockey.

In the summer months, Brian would rather be outside golfing with his grandsons or putting many kilometers on his bicycle.  It wasn’t often you would find Brian inside watching a movie, as he would always have fallen asleep before the opening credits were complete!  Brian will be deeply missed but never forgotten by his family and friends.

The family would like the thank the staff in 5E at St. Boniface hospital, for the care and compassion they provided.  As per Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A celebration of his life will take place January 10, 2019, at 1 pm at Voyage Funeral Home 220 Hespeler Ave, Winnipeg Manitoba.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Canadian Liver Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba.

  1. Our sincere sympathies to Brian’s family.

Brian came into my life in 1976 when he moved to Winnipeg to live with his brother Mike and I. We shared many great times in those years before each of us went in diffent directions. 30+ years later Brian did a spectacular tile job in our new bathroom.
Our thoughts are with his family, children and grand children to help them deal with their loss.

    Best Regards

    John & Theresa Fleming
