Antonio Tony Campanaro

February 23, 1965 – January 27, 2024

Antonio (Tony) Campanaro, a beloved spouse, son, father, brother, and friend passed away on, January 27, 2024.

He was a free spirit who lived life on his own terms and inspired everyone around him to do the same. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tony is survived by his spouse Lana Davies; mother, Dora Castelli; children, Brandon Campanaro (Natayla), Nicholas Campanaro, Danielle Ferris (Brandon), Angela Tuck (Casey), Christian Davies-Wiebe (Cody), and Madison Wiebe (Vellan); grandchildren, Arianna, Serenity, Victoria, Jayce, Weston, and Veeran; sister, Grazia (Grace) Giglione; brother Liberato Campanaro; closest friend, Bruce Stuhlmueller (Brenda); aunts and uncles, Mario Castelli, Brigida Braccio, Antonietta Marino, and MariaPina Buttino (Mario); along with many cousins and friends who will cherish his memory and carry his spirit with them always.

Tony was born on February 23, 1965, in Winnipeg, where he attended the school of hard knocks, as Tony would refer to it. Tony had a contagious laugh and a heart of gold. As he journeyed through his life, he easily made friends wherever he went putting smiles on everyone’s faces. He was always there for his family and friends offering a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on with the hugest bear hugs if needed.

Tony loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones, whether it was riding his beloved Harley, to one of his favourite spots or sitting on his deck with family and friends having a BBQ. Mexico became one of Tony’s happy places where he absolutely loved to be by the ocean and explore.

As one of the original members of the Thursday Night Riders (TNR) for the last 25+ years, Tony built lifelong friendships and bonds with his TNR brothers whom he loved like family.

In honour of Tony’s memory, his family invites everyone to gather for a Memorial Service on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy, followed by a Celebration of Life at Good News Fellowship, 891 St. Mary’s Road beginning at 6:00 p.m.

We will share stories, laugh, and remember the joy and light Tony brought into our lives. Please join us in honouring his legacy and the impact he had on us all.

We Love You More, Tony

  5. I recall working with Tony at Canada Post, back in the 90’s. I
was relatively new to the plant, then.
He was generous, caring fellow with a good sense of humour!
I will always remember the ‘life’ he brought to the transfer dock..

I got to meet you for the very first time a few years ago in Winnipeg, Your truth, strength and love for life and family, brightened the room. RIP my dearest Cugi. 8. We are so sorry for your loss and feel brokenhearted with the news. We are sending our love to Lana and the family.

We became fast friends and had a special bond over the past year. Ron and Tony (brothers) both went into HSC D6 ( Leukemia ward) one day apart. They walked the halls together. They both had a transplant on the same day, and they were discharged and walked out arm and arm on the same day. They travelled this difficult journey with courage and positive energy.

He was one of a kind and touched so many hearts.

  10. Our condolences to Lana, Tony’s family, and friends. Tony was larger than life. He made many life long memories for my family and I. I appreciated working with Tony, riding with Tony, talking with Tony, and certainly bring his friend. Tony will not be forgotten. RIP.

  11. My next-door neighbor from a young age, Tony and I rode and partied together seems like a lifetime ago. When he told me he was battling cancer, I thought we had time to reunite as he was one of the toughest guys I knew. Saddened to hear of his passing, but knowing Tony, his life was full of amazing people. When we spoke, he was most proud of his family, his partner, and all the kids, and he stated I am a grandpa man! He spoke of the love for all the kids over and again. One very proud dad, husband, and Granpa will be how I remember Tony.
