It is with great sadness that we announce Bill’s passing on May 2, 2019, at the DeSalaberry District Hospital in St. Pierre Jolys.
He is lovingly remembered by his longtime partner Elna; daughters Diana (Ken) and Kim (Stephen); grandchildren Adam (Samantha) and Delaney (Alexander), as well as Elna’s family Beth (Jeff, Kirsten, Lucas) and Ian (Vickie, Blaise); and numerous relatives in England.
He was predeceased by his wife Barbara in 1996.
Bill was born in Preston, Lancashire, England on November 2, 1931 – the second son for William and Elizabeth. After a term in the military stationed in Gibraltar, he immigrated to Canada in 1956. Bill spent his career as a journeyman electrician at the T. Eaton Co. retiring in 1989. Bill moved to his lakefront home in 1996 where he loved to putter often ignoring our rule imposed as teenagers of no power tools before 8 a.m. Adam and Delaney have many fond memories of spending summer vacations with Grandpa driving his tractor over his beloved grass.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
