William Brett Gardiner

June 6, 1991 – December 10, 2024

Suddenly on December 10, 2024, William “Brett” Gardiner of St. Norbert Manitoba was called back home.

Brett as he was affectionately known, entered this world on a summer day in June, 33 years ago, he had an energy for life like no other. His smile would light up a room, and when he smiled it was contagious. The most important person in his life was his son Wyatt, Brett loved being a father and adored his son. Passing on his love of the outdoors and being one of the “Gardiner Boys” with his father Brad, brother Andrew and nephew Gunnar.  Brett’s love for his son translated into his family and the importance of being close and maintaining those strong bonds. He was known for his passions hunting, and fishing always getting the biggest fish and the biggest buck.

Brett will be sadly missed by all who knew him, for those friends who talked to him daily, and made lifelong memories with hunting and fishing trips.

He leaves to mourn his son and most important person in his world, Wyatt Gardiner, his mother and father Bradford and Gladys Gardiner (nee Brown), his brother Andrew (Dana), niece and nephews Gunnar, Ethan and Marissa; Grandmother Susan Brown (nee Kehler), Uncle Lyndon (Nancy), cousins Nelson (Danika) and Jenna; his “Fishing Family” you all know who you are, and numerous other family members and friends.

Brett was predeceased by grandparents William Brown, Roy & Patricia Gardiner. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him, Brett was a great support to many friends and family members. We ask that you remember him for the way his life was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Cremation will take place, and a service will be held to honour Brett on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 472 Kirkfield Street at McBey Ave, small gathering to follow.
