August 20, 1946 – October 21, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce Robert has passed away. Robert Woods lost his battle with Parkinson’s on October 21, 2022. He will be sadly missed.
He leaves behind his wife Jenny; children Glenn (Rita), David, Gina (Murray), Danny and Margaret (Raymond); his mother Vicky (Albert); sister Jan (Stan); brothers Terry (Laura) and Gary (Tarry); along with many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Robert was associated with the Broadway Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Wolever Avenue. Robert loved Jehovah God. His hope of the resurrection and living in the promised new earth sustained him through his lengthy illness. “Look the tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things has passed away.” Revelation 21:3 and 4.
Robert was a generous man with his time and helped others whenever he could do so. He was a man of faith and loved telling others about God’s promises yet to be fulfilled. He loved his friends and enjoyed many fishing trips with them which he cherished.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 1060 Wolever Avenue (West Entrance) at 7:00 p.m. Zoom will be by invitation.
