Passed peacefully in hospital early Saturday February 13, 2021.
Retired from the public service, Bob enjoyed music, reading and model making. Those who knew Bob will remember his sharp wit and his love of a good joke or funny story.
Bob is survived by his siblings Lorna (Bob Deskin) and Brian (Rose Landry) and nieces and nephews living in Ontario. Predeceased by parents Edith and Eldon Mitchell from Pilot Mound, Manitoba and sister Judith Picotte of Kingston, Ontario.
We all miss you Bob.
In lieu of flowers a donation to your favorite charity in his name would be appreciated.

It is with great sadness hearing about the passing of one of our Club members.
He was a long-time member of the WinNtrak Model Railroad Group and a master at model
railroading in all aspects. On behalf of all our Club members, he will be sorely missed.
I knew Bob from the model train clubs and always admired his model building skills. Win-N-Trak is fortunate to have a few of his master pieces. Cheers my good friend.
Bob and I were friends through the WinNtrak model railroad club and our shared passion for model railroading. I was always amazed by his incredible skill as a model builder. He literally could build anything and make it look like the real thing. His legacy lives on in our club by the many modeling projects he leaves behind for the club to enjoy. Thank you Bob. It was a great pleasure to have known you and to have enjoyed your friendship. Your uniqueness will be sorely missed.
Modeller, philosopher and friend. Dr. Bob you will always be remembered in our hearts. Your modelling friends from Edmonton.
