It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Richard Davey, peacefully in his sleep at his family’s cottage.
His kindness, good humour and easygoingness will surely be missed by all his family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Dorothy Davey and sister Judy McLean.
Lovingly remembered by his sisters Karen(Doug) Cook, April(Greg) Welter, and nephews Kyle(Angelina), Michael(Carla), Chris(Sonya), and Devon.
Rick grew up in Winnipeg spending the majority of his years in St. James. He worked at CNR for 37 years where he made countless friendships.
One of the highlights of his week was getting together with his friends on Sundays at The Big A to watch football.
The Philadelphia Eagles was Rick’s team and he was really looking forward to the upcoming season.
The thing Rick cherished most was heading out to the cottage for a weekend of fishing, golfing, bonfires and relaxing by the lake.
A private family ceremony will be held and a celebration of life for his many friends at a later date.
