Ricardo A Rodriguez

Ricardo A Rodriguez

It’s with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Ricardo A Rodriguez on January 17th, 2022.

He was a loving father, son, friend and active member of the community. Ricardo is survived by his 4 children: Aimee, Nathan, Amanda and Maria, and his 12 grandchildren.

Ricardo was an honest, hardworking and gentle man who spent much of his time volunteering in the community and enjoying the great outdoors. He will be deeply missed and not soon forgotten.

We hope he rests peacefully in paradise for all eternity.

Our condolences to Ricardo’s family; our paths crossed many times over the years our daughters played soccer. He was always kind and such a gentleman.

  2. I had the pleasure of working with Ricardo at Hatch Engineering for many years. I always enjoyed his quick, sarcastic sense of humour. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren and spoke about them all the time. At work he was always very straightforward and honest. I really appreciated this. I remained in contact with Ricardo after my retirement, and we both shared a love of music. While watching The Voice we would share our opinions about the performances and who we believed was going to win. We didn’t always agree but it was fun! I found Ricardo to be very spiritual too. He would share beautiful spiritual posts on social media and I would often message him to say I found these posts deeply meaningful.
To Ricardo’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. Rest in peace my friend.

  3. Please give our condolences to his family. We will never forget all the fun our Wellness Institute group had working out with Ricardo. When things finally get back to normal our work out group will not be the same without Ricardo.

  4. Ricardo, it was a pleasure to have known you and to have officiated many soccer games with you over the years. You were an absolute gentleman and will be dearly missed.

It is very strange and outrageous bad that his father living in Thompson, his sister and nieces living in Brandon are not mentioned in the obituary. I think it is very unrespectul to omit family members in this sad circumstances.

I had the pleasure of working with Ricardo at Hatch Engineering. I always enjoyed talking with Ricardo about fitness and getting advise from him. We shared a passion for music and I always enjoyed going to his desk to hear what beautiful song he was playing and enjoyed when he would send me music to listen to. Ricardo you will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family.

  7. I had the pleasure of meeting Ricardo at Hatch. Our routines often collided at the break room where we’d grab our favourite teas in the afternoon. A short hello usually morphed into conversations where we’d share our mutual love for physical activity. Although our overlap in time at Hatch together was short, we remained in contact in the last couple years. Every time I walk through the Maples and pass Ricardo’s favourite tree on Adsum, I will think of him dearly.

  8. Dearest Rodríguez Family,

I hope it comforts you to know that your grief is shared by all of us that knew your dad. Your dad touched a lot of people’s lives, mine included. I’m so glad I got the chance to know him and will truly miss our friendship. Sending love, strength and prayers your way.

  9. I as well met Ricardo at Hatch. He was such a great person and always made time to chat. As others have mentioned, it was enjoybale to visit Ricardos workspace to see what was on the radio! I was shocked just now to learn of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends.

  10. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
My heartfelt condolences to the family!
I met Ricardo at Hatch. We shared a passion of music, often exchanged songs, and talked about them.
He was taken too early, not fair!

  11. Ricardo was a great friend and co-worker to my father at Hatch.

When my father suffered a stroke, Ricardo would visit him almost daily and made sure that we were okay.

  13. I grew up with Ricardo in Thompson, teenage years were a blast, we grew up and he left for the south, it was only when he got sick we were able to get together over social media, I was happy he got to spend some time at our cottage and relax
