It was very sad to hear of the passing of Pompeo a couple of days ago. I remember Pompeo living with us on Simcoe Street in Winnipeg when I was around 10 or 11 years old. He was fun to be with and I recall him getting all dressed up one night to go out with his girlfriend back then with Rosa who later became his wife. Although we did not keep in touch in the years following, I do remember certain things and one of his favorite songs back in the late 60’s when he resided with our family used to be a song named SUSPICION, originally recorded by Elvis Presley in 1962 and in 1964 it was sung by a young man named Terry Stafford in 1964 who sounded like Elvis where it became a huge hit! Pompeo would play this song over and over and over, while he’d even sing along with the song!
My condolences to the entire family, Pompeo was a very nice man and will be remembered by many…
