Marie Ann Blake (Cadieux), born in Saint Boniface, MB on May 27th, 1946, passed away peacefully on July 17th, 2024.

She was a beloved wife, mother, Nana and great-grandmother who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.

Mariette is survived by her loving husband Jack; devoted daughter Shannon; cherished sons Dean and Todd; stepdaughter Madeline; adored grandchildren Kayla, Janna, Breydon, Carson and Danielle; as well as precious great-grandchildren Wednesday and Brett with one more on the way.

She’s joined heaven with her family, including daughter Carla, stepdaughter Glenda, grandson Brett, sisters Lucy and Charlie, and surrounded by other loved ones who are deeply missed.

Mariette will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family. Her marriage to Jack spanned over two decades and was filled with laughter, joy and deep companionship.

A woman of faith, Mariette found solace in prayer during times of hardship. Her strength was evident to all who knew her as she faced life’s challenges with grace and resilience.

The void left by Mariette ‘s passing is immeasurable, but the memories shared will continue to bring comfort to those whose lives she touched. The legacy of love that she leaves behind will endure through generations.

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the caring team at Extendicare Charleswood, Unit 3. The exceptional dedication and kindness shown during her time there by the staff and nurses will always be remembered.

We invite friends to join them in celebrating Mariette’s life on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy.

  1. Shannon , words won`t address the sadness I feel for you at this time. Your Mom loved you so much and a void will be felt in your heart. But know , she will be around you at all times as well as the rest of your family . May she rest in peace. . . .sending love and hugs.
