Luigi (Gino) Mazza

May 11, 1951 – March 31, 2022

It is with profound sadness that the family announce the peaceful passing of Gino Mazza on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 70 years of age.

Gino will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years Jenny; two children Charlie and Gino; grandchildren Marco, Paulo and Serena Mazza; brothers Tony Mazza (Philis) and Mick Mazza (Stella); father-in-law Eugenio (Giulia) Costantino; brother-in-law Vince (Vicky); and sister-in-law Lisa (Mark); along with numerous many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends whom all held a special place in his heart. Gino was preceded by his parents Pasquale and Maria Mazza; his sister Noreen Migliaccio and brother-in-law Joe.

Gino lived his life for his grandchildren and would do anything for them. He loved his gardening and watching the Blue Bombers during their training camp or watching them play their games. He also enjoyed playing with his dogs Diesel and Lala. Gino loved to spend the summer relaxing around Charlie’s pool on the big comfy blue lounger.

A big thank you to the WRHA Palliative Care team, in particular Lisa, Linda, Erin, Andre and Yohanes for their compassion and great care. A special thank you to Father Sam Argenziano for visiting Gino and bringing him some peace.

Mass of Christian Burial, along with livestreaming, will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 at 7:30 p.m., with viewing from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Cremation will follow mass.

Pallbearers will be: uncle Tony Rossi; cousin Mick Rossi; nephews Frank Migliaccio and Tony Mazza; and friends Giovanni Vaccaro and Ralph Conia.

Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Gino’s memory to the Cancer Society of Manitoba.
