March 30, 1940 – March 27, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Lucien, peacefully at home beside his wife Gwen. In three days he would have been 82.
Left to live life without him is his wife Gwen of 29 years; his four children Richard, Diana (late Ben), Michael (Christine) and Roger (Lynne); five grandchildren Matthew, Addi (Kristyn), Danielle (Reece), Caitlin and Makena; great-grandson Ramsey; two brothers Robert (late Emilienne) and Noel (Louise); sister-in-law Jeannine (late Henri); and his special niece Ginette; plus many nieces, nephews, Gwen’s family, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Flavie Rodrigue and six siblings.
Luc had many jobs in his lifetime, among them Maple Leaf Mills, the Royal Canadian Mint and finally 23 years as a long-haul trucker across the United States and Canada and the mail run to Vancouver. He loved to travel, especially to warm sunny places like Mexico, Hawaii and cruising to the Caribbean Islands and the Mediterranean. “Just stop and relax! Don’t rush.” was his motto. He liked listening to music, dancing, reading, watching historical videos and enjoying the beautiful colours and sounds of nature.
Luc dearly loved and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He was always concerned about their happiness and well-being.
Cremation has taken place. At his request there will be no service.
A small celebration with family will take place in April.
Rest in Peace!
Good night Hon!
