It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved father Louis Fontaine on January 17, 2022 at the age of 82, in Winnipeg, MB.
Dad will be lovingly remembered by his children Bridget (Randolph), Dean (Kerry), and daughter Renee. He will also be missed by brother Noel (Gilberte), as well as numerous family and friends.
Dad was predeceased by wife Jo-Ann, parents Hector and Marie-Louise, as well as sisters, Cecile, Marie-Ange, Therese, Florence, and Agathe and brothers, Andre, Leon, Gerard, and Donat (Alice).
Dad was born October 2, 1939 in Ste. Agathe. He worked as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic in Manitoba, B.C., and on the DEW Line. He was a very hard worker, who worked very long days most of his life to provide for his family. He loved car racing, motorcycles, Rving, the outdoors and travelling with his children to Mexico and Cuba. He will always be remembered as a person who knew how to live life to the fullest. Dad had absolutely no fear. He never turned down adventure and was always up for anything. He helped his children in so many ways throughout his life and his memory will forever be carried in our hearts.
Burial has already taken place at The St. Boniface Cemetery.
