Sadly, the family announces the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great grandmother on Wednesday January 30 at the Health Sciences Center at the age of 84.
She is survived by her sister Lily Arbutante; was a loving mother to Angie,
Cecilia, Bernadette, Edwin, Denise, Floren and Garry Averilla; proud grandmother to Harry, Joy, Mike, Panya, Edong, Eloy, Chris, Lennard, Mark, Corbin, Gyle and Lucian and great grandmother to Rayden, Callie, Ava, Landen, Tachan, Poping, Kechan, Hershey, Winnie, Prince, Jerry, Berryle, Mikee, Jewel, Shania and Franz Matthew.
She was a very hardworking, single mom. She came to Canada in the early 80’s to provide a greater life for her children. She worked 2-3 jobs just to support her family. She was well known as “Mamang” to her children, grandchildren and all her close family friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy.
