Leif Eric Grant

February 18, 1955 – February 27, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved brother and uncle Leif.

He was predeceased by his loving parents Richard Donald Grant and Lillian Mae Grant; sisters Delores and Brenda; brothers Gary, Donald, and Larry; loving grandparents Wilfred and Pearl Tourand and brother-in law Robert Chenier. Leaving to cherish his memories are brother Brian (Jean) Grant; sister Karen Chenier; brother Wendell (Anita) Grant; sister Diana (Jeff) Joseph; and sister Patricia Grant, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and spending his youth in Powerview Manitoba, Leif was truly one of a kind, loving, generous, kind, independent but stubborn as hell. Loved reading, music, nature, camping, fishing, loved swimming and road trips. Always enjoying family parties playing guitars singing and just having fun.

He loved to play cards and enjoy a cold beer while learning about life with his wonderful grandfather Wilfred Tourand. Believing in Christ till the day he passed, stating “he was in God’s hands and not to worry about me”.

A farewell memorial will take place on June 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Balsam Bay Anglican Church Cemetery. In honour of his remembrance please take time to remember the good times we are shared over the years with Leif. His pain, loneliness, and the sad world he leaves behind will be no more. Joining family members that left too soon surrounded by love a new life with Christ and Family. Much like our dear mom used to say, “never say goodbye, just say so long.”

REST in Peace Brother
