January 30, 1971 – April 20, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kirk on April 20, 2023. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
Left to cherish and honor his memory are his mother Kathleen McAuley; sister Amanda McAuley; his four children Kayla, Joshua, Legend and Legacy McAuley; and two grandchildren Laci and Janko; along with aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Ross Baker and his grandmother Elsie McAuley whom he loved and cherished very much.
Kirk was born to Kathleen McAuley and Kenneth Ross Baker. He was one of two siblings. He was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he spent most of his life. Kirk found pleasure visiting his mother and sister every day. He enjoyed music. His mother taught him how to play the guitar and he would play his own music he wrote. He never let anything stop from doing what needed to be done in life. Kirk was a hard worker in many trades such as construction, carpentry, and dry walling.
Kirk will be dearly missed by many, especially his mother and sister. They were three peas in a pod. Rest in paradise, till we meet again.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave at Henderson Hwy. Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Kirk.

Upon hearing of Kirk’s passing has left my boyfriend and I truly devastated. Kirk was my brother from another mother.. and I loved him dearly. We are still in shock, words can’t describe how much we respected him, my boyfriend and I knew whenever I was with Kirk that I was going to be safe – and now that he’s gone we feel an empty void they can never be replaced. it hurts so much and we think about him all the time. Our heart goes out to his family, with our deepest condolences.
We love you and we miss you so much kirkie, we hope you found peace. Rest easy and I hope we get to meet again someday.
We love you brother, we miss you more then words could ever express.
My dearest brother, I don’t know how I’m going to make it in life without you, you were my everything. I wish I would hear your voice again calling my name at the window, I need your direction cause I dont kno what to do. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you and the memories we have. I love you with all my heart till we meet again my big brother,

A Song by Chris Stapleton
I put that record on
Girl, you know what song
And I let it play again and again
You’re in every line
Takes me back in time
Yeah, tonight I’m wondering
What are you listening to?
Is it a cover band in some college town bar?
Where it’s na-na-na’s and air guitars
Or is it something to get you through?
Just a sad song playing on the radio station
Tears still fallin’ and hearts still breakin’
‘Cause you’re hanging on
Or is it a love song about someone new?
What are you listening to?
I like to believe
That you’re just like me
Trying to figure out how a good thing goes bad
I don’t know
I can’t let it go
Yeah, it’s about to drive me mad
What are you listening to?
Is it a cover band in some college town bar?
Where it’s na-na-na’s and air guitars
And is it something to get you through?
Just a sad song playing on the radio station
Tears still fallin’ and hearts still breakin’
‘Cause you’re hanging on
Or is it a love song about someone new?
What are you listening to?
Is it a feelgood song gets you driving too fast?
The one that gets you moving on past the past
Or the kind that you can’t help singing along
Singing, whoa
Is it headphones on on a downtown train?
Or a window seat on an outbound plane?
Is it LA sunny and Memphis blue?
I wish I knew, I wish I knew
What are you listening to?
Is it a cover band in some college town bar?
Where it’s na-na-na’s and air guitars
And is it something to get you through?
Just a sad song playing on the radio station
Tears still fallin’ and hearts still breakin’
‘Cause you’re hanging on
Or is it a love song about someone new?
What are you listening to?
I put that record on, girl, you know what song
And I let it play again and again. ~ LoveYou4Ever,Love
