On Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the age of 87, John Bauer died peacefully in his home from a 2 -year battle with Congestive Heart Failure.
He leaves behind his cherished wife, Yvette Bauer (Fontaine); his sister-in-law Lucie (Frank Bittner); his brother-in-law Roger (Jane); his deceased brother-in-law Louis (Nancy) & several nieces and nephews. He is surpassed by his parents Anna (Hubert) & Stephen Bauer.
John immigrated with his parents & 3 sisters from Yugoslavia; met Yvette at the Belgium Club; married her in 1962; and celebrated 61 years last August. John devoted his life to Yvette, traveling and camping with their beloved poodle dog, Ricki. He worked 25 years at Kitchen Craft enjoying woodworking crafts, raising pigeons, and dancing with Yvette.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church 315 Munroe Avenue at Brazier St. in Winnipeg, MB at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow in the parish hall.

Cremation has taken place by Voyage Funeral Home.
