April 9, 1964 – February 14, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jesusa (Susan) Bagay on February 14, 2025. She leaves behind a profound legacy of love, dedication, and compassion that will be cherished by all who knew her. Susan was born on April 9, 1964, in Carmona, Cavite, Philippines.
Susan was predeceased by her father, Arcadio, and her siblings Arlene and Roberto. She is survived by her mother Fausta; her siblings, Manolito, Corazon, Andy, Cecilia, Yolanda, and Myr; her beloved spouse, Jun; and her stepchildren, Cliff (Chris), Mark (Robin), and Cecille. Her joy was further amplified by her grandson, Hudson, who brought light into her life.
A devoted educator, Susan made a significant impact in her community as a teacher in the Philippines. After moving to Canada in 2010, she continued her passion for nurturing children, recently earning her ECE III diploma from the University of Winnipeg. Her commitment to education and childcare was evident in the countless lives she touched.
Susan formed many close friendships in both the Philippines and Canada, bonds that she cherished deeply. Her warm and loving spirit will forever be felt by all who had the pleasure of having her in their lives.
We would like to send our sincerest thanks to all the nurses and doctors at the Surgical ICU department at the Health Sciences Centre for their amazing support and compassion.
A celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Hwy in Winnipeg, where family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable life and the love she shared. She will be dearly missed but will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
