James Brian Cooper

James Brian Cooper
February 1952 – November 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jim on November 8, 2021 at the Grace Hospital.

Jim was predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Cooper; long-time companion Bonnie Howe; brother Gary (Marion); and sister Shirley (Bob). He leaves to mourn his sisters Joan and Marilyn; his good friend Leona McNeill; many nieces, nephews, friends, and of course his best buddy “Gunner”.

In his younger years, Jim enjoyed camping and fishing at Otter Falls and then in Sandy Hook, MB. Jim had a great passion for cars, he still owned the green Satellite he bought brand new in 1973, and he loved driving his ‘59 Plymouth around town. Jim also had a great love of miniature cars, trains, toys of all kinds actually, and was quite the collector, he spent a lot of time at the flea market, selling and buying his collectibles. Jim’s love of cars led to his job as Transport Manager for ADESA Auctions Winnipeg, a position he held for many years.

Jim loved music, he could tell you who the artist was, the year it came out, etc. within hearing the song for only seconds, the Rolling Stones were a favourite of his.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date.
