It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Inder Pal Soni, a beloved husband, brother, Uncle, and cherished friend, well-known for his generosity and kindness, who passed away on January 12th, 2025 at the age of 88.
Inder Pal was a man whose life was defined by his selflessness and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Louise, with whom he shared a bond of love, care, and partnership for over 40 years. His commitment to her well-being and comfort was extraordinary, as he tenderly cared for her with both compassion and grace, never wavering in his support.
Beyond his role as a devoted spouse, Inder Pal was a man who understood the true meaning of community. Their warmth and generosity of spirit created deep, lifelong connections with their neighbours, in particular, Jennifer and Ed Richardson. He became a trusted friend and confidant to all who knew him, always ready to offer a helping hand or a kind word.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Inder Pal will remember him for his gentle heart and his quiet wisdom. His legacy of kindness and love will live on in the many lives he touched.
He is survived and missed dearly by his brother, Jagat Soni, his sister-in-law, Rosie, his sisters, Manohar and Shashi, their children and grandchildren, and many more international relatives as well as a close-knit circle of lifelong friends who considered him a true companion and a second family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rest in peace, dear Inder Pal. Your love, care, and generosity will never be forgotten.

On January 12, the world lost an extraordinary soul, and I lost my beloved brother, Inderpal Soni. As I reflect on his life, my heart is filled with both sorrow and gratitude.
Though distance separated us – me in India and you in Canada – our bond remained unshakable. Inderpal, your love knew no boundaries. Since you went to Canada, you supported me in ways that words cannot fully capture. Your generosity and selflessness were not just act of kindness but reflections of the deep love you had for family.
You were more than a brother; you were my protector, my guide, and my pillar of strength. Your wisdom, humor, and unyielding support made life’s challenges feel surmountable. You lived with a spirit of giving, always putting the needs of others before your own, and that spirit will forever inspire me.
The memories of your unwavering care will remain etched in my heart forever. Brother Inderpal though you are no longer with us, your love continues to surround me, reminding me every second of the incredible person you were.
I miss you more than words can express. But I find comfort in knowing that you left behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will continue to guide me and all those whose lives you touched.

À toute la famille Soni et leurs enfants, petits enfants ainsi qu’à ses amis proches, nos plus sincères condoléances. C’est notre beau-frère qui nous a quittés. Nous joignons notre peine à la vôtre mais nous nous rappelons aussi les bons moments passés avec lui et son épouse (notre sœur) Louise. Quel homme accueillant, généreux et au-devant de nos besoins et désirs, il restera dans notre et notre cœur.
