It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad on June 26, 2020.
He leaves to mourn his daughters, Shelley Elhatton (Shaun) and Wanda Mailhot (Richard); grandsons Brayden and Dustin; sisters Lucille and Irene; and brother Gerry; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his mother Mary; father Alcide; step-father Roy; brothers Adrian and Lawrence; and sister Solage.
Dad was the youngest of his big family. He worked many years as a carpet/floor installer, as well as for Winnipeg transit. He enjoyed his retirement and took pride in his garden and pond along with his fish; and oh how he loved his truck! It was always so clean and sparkly. Dad always did life the way he wanted, and managed to do it right up to the end. With the help of his two devoted girls, he was able to stay home until his last breath. It certainly wasn’t always easy but honestly what an honour to assist at the end of one’s life. There have been many blessings and memories made along the way. We were so happy to celebrate his 80th birthday last year. He was so proud and so happy that he hit that mile stone!
As per dad’s wishes , there will be no service.
“May you rest in peace Dad. We love you!”

Dear Wanda, Richard, Brayden, and Dustin:
We are very sorry to hear about your dad’s passing just recently. Irene let me know.
From the obit, it describes how you, Wanda and your sister, Shelley took care of your dad so he could stay in his home. That is truly admirable and so loving. As now, you can exhale, may your summer be relaxing with your family. May you feel peace and comfort as only God can give you.
Praying for you,
Ruth and David Jeffrey
Dear Shelley
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Family during this diffucult time.
