It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Beloved Mother, Grandma, & Great Grandma, Herminia Cervantes Perez at the age of 89 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital.
With her loving family by her side the night before she went home to be with the Lord, she left peacefully in her sleep on November 02, 2024.
She was born December 24, 1934 to Francisco Cervantes (†) and Rosario Navarra Cervantes (†). She had 6 siblings: Modesto, Herman (†), Victor, Francisco Jr., Presentacion (†), and Cynthia. She lived in the Philippines until she migrated to Canada in March 2023.
She was a devoted wife to her late husband Edilberto Perez, Sr, and a loving mother to her 6 children – Elbertini, Edilberto Jr, Enrico, Ernesto, Annabel, and Anna Marie. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and for her utmost love for her family.
She is survived by her children: Elbertini (Carolinda), Edilberto Jr (Marilou), Enrico (Marivic), Ernesto (Loida), Annabel (Gerry), and Anna Marie (Ted); Grandchildren: Franco (Lorelei), Carlo (Jemariz), Joana Keren, Criselda (Jose), Kimberly (Arnel), Rorie Carl (Katrina), Mauro (Marline), Bianca, Martina (Pablo), Jobert; and Great Grandchildren: Jeezreel, Kurt, Kirsten, Amira, Jorge, Kareena, Aviana; as well as numerous friends and relatives, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Her remains lie in repose temporarily in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and would be brought home to Manila, Philippines. Our family intend to bring her home, God willing, towards the end of December 2024 onwards.
The family will hold memorial services in her honor and will keep everyone posted on the details.
We appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers during our family’s time of grief, keeping her memory alive. She has touched many lives and will be deeply missed. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
