January 29, 1929 – April 4, 2023
After a brief illness, Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep. Dad was a devoted family man, and enjoyed talking with people at any time, about almost anything. He was fortunate to have many lifelong friends as well as many great neighbours that were always there for him and Mom.
His passion for cars continued throughout his life, and he spent hours following classic car auctions. Born in Edmonton, his family moved a few times, eventually settling in Winnipeg. While he had many career options, he decided early on that he would remain in Winnipeg with his parents and sister, which he did.
He married Mom, Kathleen Henry, in 1963 and had 2 children – Barry (Christine) and Janice (Dan). He was also blessed to have 3 grandchildren – Daniel, Adam and Matthew. He was predeceased by his father, Fred, his mother, Myrta, and his sister, Doreen, as well as his sister’s fiance, Cec Watt.
In accordance with his wishes, there will not be a funeral.
