April 3, 1937 – August 4, 2022
Peacefully on August 4,2022 Gordon went to meet the Lord. He was born on April 3, 1937 and raised in Transcona.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Isa(Purden) Wright, his twin sister Mary Pedrick and younger brother Colin.
He has left to mourn his wife of 62 years,Joy(nee Kurtz), his sons Richard(Sandra) and Kurt(Darlene) and daughter Lisa(Don) Chenel. His grandchildren, Nathan(Celeste), Andrew(Edna Ramos), Branden and Quinn Wright, Paul and Liam Chenel, in addition his great grandchildren Mason Wright and Easton and Hartley Ramos Wright.
Gordon earned his machinist and millwright red seal tickets and retired after 40 years of employment.
In their retirement,Gordon and Joy enjoyed many years wintering in Arizona.
Gordon cherished his wife Joy and was a devoted father to Rick, Kurt and Lisa. His grandchildren loved to spend time with Grandpa at the cottage, which he built and spent summers there for 32 years.
The family of Gordon would like to invite family and friends to a Celebration of Life on August 11,2022 at Church of the Rock, 1397 Buffalo Place.

Joy and family. We are so sorry to hear of Gord’s passing. It was always a delight to have a visit with both of you. What always stood out for us was the wonderful relationship and marriage you and Gord shared. .. a wonderful legacy for family and role model for others.. not gone but lives on in eternity.
