Glenn Curtis Jordan

Glenn Curtis Jordan
February 9, 1955 – December 26, 2023

It’s with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Curt.

Curt passed away on December 26 with his wife Joan of 48 years by his side.

Curt was diagnosed on September 28th with cancer, a battle he was just not meant to win.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Jen, son Bryan, grandchildren Marissa (Brett), Kyren, Kaden, Taylor, and Brody, sister Joanne, niece Tanya (Jason), nephews Chris, Sean (Maureen) and their families. Curt was predeceased by his parents Wilma and Pat Jordan and brother Allen.

Family was very important to Curt. One of his greatest joys was to walk Marissa down the aisle at her Wedding this fall. We know he considered her “his special little girl” and that special bond was shown through the smile that radiated from his face.
Curt was one of those guys that if he knew you were doing renos, etc. he was that guy that showed up to help and he expected nothing in return. He was always helping his children, his granddaughter, and friends. He was out that door to help.

Curt had many hobbies over the years from sky diving, scuba diving, to the love of the open road on his Harley. The longer the ride the better. Curt and Joan met some of the nicest people in the bike community. Some very special friendships were made. It broke his heart that his riding days were over.

Curt worked at Air Canada. He became great friends with Lorne (Michele). They remained close friends over the years. Many funny stories to be had and many not to share. Lorne’s dry humour had Curt laughing up until the end. I cannot thank him enough for sitting with Curt into the wee hours. He was indeed a good friend. Thank you.

The family would like to acknowledge Courtney (Dale). It is said that blood makes you related, but loyalty, love and trust make you family. That’s everything she has always showed us. Courtney held a spot in his heart along with his children and grandchildren. Thank you, Dale, for sharing her with us.

As per Curt’s final wishes, there will be no funeral.

A private service with family will take place for the interment of his ashes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.

I am sure Curt is riding an open road somewhere smiling.

Rest in peace my darling.

  7. Joan and family, we were so shocked and saddened to hear about Curt’s passing. We were the closest of friends for so many years when we were younger. When we moved from Winnipeg we lost touch and have always felt bad about that as we were such good friends.

We hope as a family you find peace in knowing how many lives Curt touched in a positive way.

Curt was a huge part of my childhood, I grew up with his granddaughter Marissa, we were next door neighbours for years! I would go over there alot to play with Marissa and they would often babysit me too! I’ll never forget when curt took me for a ride on his motorcycle I thought I was so cool lol I remember going camping with him and Joan and Marissa and we always had such fun and we would also go to lilac camping as well, I’m gonna miss you curt! ❤️

  10. I met Curt and Joan through my daughter Cynthia and although we never had many meetings the ones I had were very special to me. He was close to my son Tyson and their love of the Harley had them going for long rides and even in the pouring rain they rode. I know that they’ll meet again in Heaven and will enjoy many rides there. Rest in Peace Curt with our son and your forever friend. Love from Cynthia and Karen.

I haven’t met too many men that have got my love, trust, loyalty, etc. But Curt was one of the good guys. I can’t even fathom riding season without Curt! His passing has left a big hole within our community family. Curt will never be forgotten. I hope you’re up there riding in the sky……..and laughing at us becuz it’s winter and we can’t ride! Lol
