December 11, 1928 – March 29, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, nonna, and bisnonna.
She will be greatly missed and remembered by her children Michele (Chiara) and Anna (Michael); grandchildren Alessandro (Ashley), Stefania (Kyle), and Sara (Steven); great-grandchildren Owen, Avery, Emma, and Olivia. Also mourning her loss are her brother, sister, sister-in-law, nephew, nieces, and extended family in Canada and Italy. Giovanna was predeceased by her husband and love of her life Vincenzo; her parents Michele and Anna; sister Rosa; brother Franco; brother-in-law Michele; and sister-in-law Anna.
Mom was born in Triggiano, Bari, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1968 to start a new life with her family. She was an amazing cook, enjoyed flowers, and most of all loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
