Gerald “The Great” Joseph Brisson

Gerald The Great Joseph Brisson

September 7, 1966 ~ June 7, 2024

Gerald finally punched his ticket to the great beyond after a legendary battle with an illness that clearly underestimated his stubbornness and sense of humor. Outliving doctors’ predictions, he spent his extra time on earth reminding everyone that laughter and family are indeed the best medicine – though tequila didn’t hurt either

He was predeceased by his mom Joyce, dad Gerard, and his beloved niece Cara who was like a daughter to him, and his lifelong friend “The Turk”.

Gerald leaves behind a family that loved him deeply and laughed with him often. His ol’ lady of 8 years, Sonya, will miss his unconditional love, nagging about her gift of procrastination, and most of all, their kinky adventures; his brothers Roger (Susan), and Rolly; and his sister Debbie (Paul), who was like a second mom to him, will carry on his legacy of laughter. Gerald undeniably cherished the bond, friendship, and confidant he had with his sister-in-law Susan since he was a child.

His children, Emilee, Nova, Alex, Melissa, and Phillip meant the world to him, they were pretty high up there, but they knew they had been knocked off the top spot by a tiny, giggling usurper- his granddaughter Simone. She was the true love of his life. He never stopped bragging about how “Pop-Pop” was her first word spoken. Those piercing blue eyes lit up every time he saw her.

He held a special place in his heart for his two ex-girlfriends, Nicole and Sherri, who remained dear friends; probably because they couldn’t resist his endless charm and humor.

A lifelong reseller/distributor, Gerald had a knack for turning strangers into friends and deals into lifelong partnerships.

Whether he was outdoors, selling merchandise, or enjoying a shot of tequila, Gerald lived life to the fullest. Though he’s no longer here to run into friends or crack a joke, his spirit will live on in every laugh and every fond memory shared by those who knew him.

In honor of Gerald raise a glass of tequila, share a laugh, and remember to cherish every moment – because he sure did!
